Good travel data should feel invisible: ready when you need directions, a booking code or a quick message. This guide helps you prepare the details before departure and use your connection with confidence on the road.

01

Complete setup before departure

Install your China Pass on stable Wi-Fi, label it clearly and save the activation instructions offline. Download tickets, hotel addresses and essential apps before boarding.

SIMVIA China Pass uses an international roaming data route designed so commonly used global apps and websites can generally work directly, without configuring a separate VPN. Availability can still vary by device, location, network conditions and local regulation.

02

Prepare an offline arrival folder

Keep your accommodation name in Chinese, booking numbers, contact details and a screenshot of your first route in one offline folder. This is useful if the line needs a few minutes to register.

  • Passport and booking copies stored securely
  • Hotel address in Chinese characters
  • SIMVIA installation details
  • Offline translation and city map
03

Activate the correct line

After landing, enable the SIMVIA profile, select it for mobile data and turn on roaming for that line. Keep roaming disabled on your primary SIM and turn off automatic data switching.

If service does not appear, toggle airplane mode, restart and confirm the APN in your SIMVIA instructions. Do not delete the eSIM during basic troubleshooting.

04

Use data with local conditions in mind

Services and availability can change. Keep critical documents accessible offline, follow local laws and do not rely on any single online app for essential travel arrangements.
